A Reminder From Your Woodlake Dentists: Use Your Dental Benefits Before Year-End
Fall is officially here in Richmond and before you know it, the holidays will be here. That also means your 2026 dental benefits are ticking down. Most dental insurance plans and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) expire on December 31st and unused benefits don’t roll over. It’s truly “use it or lose it.”
If we haven’t seen you in a while, or you’ve been waiting to schedule treatment, give us a call. You may still have dental benefits available for 2026, and we’d hate for you to miss the chance to use them for care you need.
There’s good news to share, too: Woodlake Dental Center added more insurance plans this year. Click here to learn more.
We may now be in-network with your insurance
On May 1, we expanded our in-network participation, making it easier for more of our neighbors to receive care here in Midlothian.
Our participating networks include Delta Dental PPO+ Premier, GEHA / Connection Dental, and Zelis / Stratose / Maverest. Through these networks, participating plans may include Cigna, MetLife, Guardian, UnitedHealthcare, Anthem, Humana, and others.
If your insurance wasn’t in-network with us before, it’s worth checking again. Give us a call with your insurance information, and we’ll verify your specific plan.
What happens to unused dental benefits?
Many dental plans renew on January 1. Unused benefits generally don’t carry into the new year, though some plans have rollover options or different renewal dates.
If you’ve already met your deductible and have coverage remaining, taking care of recommended treatment before your plan resets may reduce your out-of-pocket cost.
You don’t need to sort through the details yourself. Our team can help check what’s left, when your benefits renew, and what your insurance may pay toward your next visit.
Now is the perfect time to schedule:
- Cleanings, exams, and x-rays
- Fillings, crowns, and gum care
- Invisalign (many plans help cover this!)
- Pediatric visits for your kids
- Restorative and cosmetic options with HSA/FSA funds
Let’s get your visit on the calendar
Some treatment takes more than one appointment. Calling now gives us more time to arrange your care before your benefits reset.
Call Woodlake Dental Center at (804) 739-9190 for a complimentary benefits check and to schedule your visit. We’re happy to check your coverage, answer your questions, and find the best time for you.
